Quitting smoking and being an ex-smoker will be like a new birthday for you. There will be so many rewards and benefits from quitting. After a few days without nicotine you will feel like a new person. Are you not worried about becoming a statistic to the death toll of cigarettes? Why not switch sides to the good side of statistics, the successful quitter’s side.
Tobacco is the only product when used as intended damages your body and causes multiple life threatening illnesses. That’s not a good thing to even think about. Cigarettes contain close to 5,000 different chemicals. Of those 5000 chemicals 69 are known to cause cancer. No wonder they call cigarettes cancer sticks.
The first part to quitting smoking is the planning and preparation phase. You need to train your body and more importantly your mind before actually quitting. You will need to determine your goals, and discover what your true reasons are for quitting. Tobacco contains nicotine which is as addictive as cocaine and heroin.
Sometimes quitters relapse and go back to their old smoking habits. This can be from temptation or even too much stress. Smokers who quit smoking are at a far greater risk of relapsing during the first three months of becoming an ex-smoker. You will need to learn how to handle stressful events and other possible solutions for traumatic events. Remember cigarettes do not calm you down or remove stress. Cigarettes actually cause more stress.
When you finally quit smoking and kick this horrible addiction you will be reborn. It is time to quit this deadly pastime that damages our bodies. There is absolutely no good that comes out of smoking –period. When you quit smoking you need to remember smoking is more psychological than physical. The act of smoking is engraved into your daily routine.
