Our Smoking Addiction
We are truly drug addicts, just looking for another fix for our smoking addiction. When we inhale puff after puff what are we truly getting from it? What does it really help? Does it relieve you from stress , or make you happy? You might say that to people but I highly doubt you think that. Smoking only causes stress and makes you miserable. Why do we make it so difficult to quit? In reality it is really easy to quit smoking.
Are you a regular smoker? When you see yourself in the mirror do you a addict looking back? You should! We have been fed lies for so many years and we truly are addicted to nicotine. We don’t smoke cigarettes because we love smoking; we do it because we don’t like what happens when we quit smoking. One questions, would you rather battle quitting smoking or battle cancer? I think the answer is clear.
The secret to breaking free from this addiction is education. You will need to become smarter then our addiction. It will only take just 72 hours for all of the nicotine to exit our bodies. This is why the third day is usually the hardiest as this is when your cravings and withdrawal symptoms will peak. A craving will only last a few minutes, I know it will seem like hours but I promise you it will only be for a few minutes.
We can both get through this. It will be difficult at time as I am still think about smoking at times. Remember to stay away from your triggers for at least a few weeks and get a new hobby or devote time to something you have left behind. This will be a perfect time for you to catch up on what you been missing since smoking takes up a large part of your day.
